About The Position

Installation and Assembly: Install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to specifications. This includes reading and interpreting blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures. Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance checks and repairs on various mechanical systems, including conveyors, pumps, and hydraulic systems. Troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. Preventative Maintenance: Conduct preventative maintenance to avoid costly downtimes, ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently and safely. Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, participating in safety audits and maintaining a clean and safe work area. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs, and assist in inventory management of spare parts and tools.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required.
  • Previous experience in a maintenance role, particularly as a millwright, is highly advantageous.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is also beneficial.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills are necessary for collaborating with other maintenance staff and departments.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of an apprenticeship in millwrighting or a related field is preferred.
