About The Position

The Millwright Level 3 maintains plant equipment and performs advanced maintenance and repair work on mill equipment. The role uses mechanical and power tools, reads schematics and instruction manuals, and carries out welding and fabrication for equipment repairs and installations. It also involves maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic units and devices, repairing and installing mechanical parts, and operating a forklift as required. The millwright may train entry-level employees in basic maintenance and work as a relief operator. Employees must follow applicable safety rules, remain alert, and work regularly scheduled shifts and scheduled overtime as required. The hourly rate is $35.83.

Requirements

• Welding skills.
• Ability to use an acetylene/oxygen torch.
• A wide range of mechanical skills and ability to use tools.
• Forklift skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all equipment in the plant.
• Use mechanical and power tools to repair mill equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Use the work order system.
• Perform advanced maintenance on all equipment.
• Train entry-level employees in basic maintenance.
• Read schematics and instruction manuals to make equipment repairs.
• Perform welding and fabrication for repairs and installation of mill equipment.
• Work on and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic units and devices.
• Repair and install mechanical parts for equipment.
• Operate a forklift as required.
• Follow all applicable safety rules and work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• Work regularly scheduled shifts and scheduled overtime as required.
• Work as a relief operator.
