About The Position

This full-time position is located in the Edmonton Area and operates on a 5/2 rotation schedule. The role requires a Millwright Journeyperson certificate and involves supporting machinists with fabrication needs. Travel may be required.

Requirements

Excellent problem-solving skills required.
Good analytical ability and manual dexterity.
Must be able to perform physically demanding work for a long duration of time.
Must be able to perform duties at heights.
Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision.
Must be able to complete all pre-access training as identified prior to mobilization.
Millwright Journeyperson certificate from a recognized provincial training authority.
Valid Alberta driver’s license.
Must own reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

Experience in Machining considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Comprehends diagrams, schematic drawings, and service manuals to determine work procedures.
Operates rigging equipment and dollies to place heavy machinery and parts.
Fits bearings, aligns gears and shafts, attaches motors, and connects couplings and belts to precise tolerances.
Aligns and tests equipment, making necessary adjustments.
Performs preventative and operational maintenance using procedures such as vibration analysis.
Repairs or replaces defective parts as necessary.
Periodically performs tack welding and fabrication.
Maintains an inventory of replacement parts.
May perform other related duties as assigned.
Supports machinist at location as fabrication needs dictate.
