Graywolf is seeking a Millwright General Foreman for an assignment in Cameron, LA. Requirements

  • Four (6) years of experience in craft.
  • One (1) year as Foreman or higher working in an industrial construction setting.
  • Familiar with construction methods, techniques, and labor requirements and how they apply to industrial construction projects.
  • Ability to effectively interact with project team members, clients, subcontractors, and craft employees.
  • Possess excellent leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage craft employees.
  • Hands-on job foreman experience.
  • Completion of Safety related certifications such as OSHA 10 or Safety council programs as required by company and/or client.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have locking tool box and tools necessary to perform the job.
  • Must be able to successfully complete all required pre-hire requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Promote safety and work safely around construction field hazards.
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise construction activities of crews.
  • Thoroughly review contract, scope documents, drawings, specifications, and shop estimates.
  • Study project execution and tracking documents including the project execution plan, project safety plan, OC plan, schedule, man loading projections, equipment rental schedule, cost breakdown and cost codes, installed quality and labor tracking plan, and subcontracting strategy.
  • Ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
  • Interact with Superintendent to ensure adherence to all company, client, and project policies and procedures.
  • Interface with all project team members to establish project schedules and resolve schedule problems.
  • Ensure availability of materials, drawings, manpower, specifications, tools, consumables, and equipment.
  • Provide prioritized work activity instructions to craftsmen and monitor their progress.
  • Assist with the implementation/interpretation of safety programs.
  • Mentor craft personnel for professional development.
  • Learn and apply knowledge of local, state, and federal statutes and guidelines.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as directed.
