About The Position

IMI is seeking a full-time Millwright Foreman local to the Winder, GA area. This role involves providing leadership and supervising staff in laying out, fabricating, aligning, joining, installing, repairing, and welding materials. The Millwright Foreman will also serve as a liaison between customers, vendors, project managers, and other employees, inspect the quality of work, analyze and resolve work-related problems, and ensure materials and equipment are accurate and in proper working condition. The position requires maintaining time and tracking production, adjusting schedules as needed to meet deadlines, and installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment according to construction plans, blueprints, and drawings using various tools. Specific tasks include assembling and installing equipment like shafting, conveyors, gearboxes, and pumps, and aligning machines and equipment using appropriate tools.

Requirements

  • Ability to apply basic math arithmetic skills to work related situations.
  • 3+ years' experience

Nice To Haves

  • NCCER or AWS certification or completion of a related program through an accredited technical school is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, functioning as the Quality Lead, to supervise and coordinate the activities of staff engaged in laying out, fabricating, aligning, joining, installing, repairing, and welding materials.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers, vendors, project managers, and other employees regarding current and future projects.
  • Assists workers in their performance of all assigned duties and inspects quality of all work.
  • Analyzes and resolves work related problems.
  • Reviews materials received at jobsite for accuracy and checks equipment for proper working conditions.
  • Maintains time and tracks production; communicates if work schedules or crew needs to be adjusted to meet deadlines.
  • Install, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment according to construction plans, blueprints, and other drawings in industrial establishments, using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Assembles and installs equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, gearboxes and pumps.
  • Aligns machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
