About The Position

Berger is looking for a Millwright Foreman at our Oakbank site to complete our already established maintenance team. This role involves leading projects, improving efficiency through routine maintenance, and contributing to innovation and continuous improvement. The Millwright Foreman will supervise and schedule the maintenance team, ensure planned maintenance is completed on time, and address unexpected breakdowns. This position also involves identifying opportunities for improvement, mentoring employees, addressing performance issues, and collaborating with various teams on site-wide improvement projects.

Requirements

You are a licensed journeyman in Industrial Mechanics (an asset)
You hold a relevant diploma or certification (Red Seal is an asset)
You are familiar with industrial electronics and controls
You have 2-3 years of leadership experience supervising a small team
You have previous experience utilizing lean manufacturing concepts in industrial settings
You are autonomous, organized and detail oriented in your work
Willingness to travel to other Manitoba Berger sites is required

Responsibilities

Supervise and schedule the maintenance team on rotation to follow production schedules
Ensure that routine, planned maintenance, is completed on time
Ensure the maintenance team is on hand to address unexpected breakdowns when they occur
Identify opportunities for improvement and work with your team, the engineering design team, and management to bring those improvements to fruition
Use your leadership experience to mentor your employees, to address performance issues and to ensure your employees are engaged and focused on completing tasks assigned to them
Collaborate with various teams on improvement projects related to buildings, equipment and the yard for the entire site
