We are looking for a Millwright apprentice to join the Maintenance team at Grouse Mountain! The Millwright team is primarily responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of our lifts and other machinery on the mountain. We are looking for someone who loves the outdoors, a challenging work environment, and is not afraid of heights.
Requirements
- Must be comfortable working at extreme heights
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions
- Must be flexible regarding work hours (occasional graveyard shifts, early mornings, late nights, weekends)
- Ability to make on the spot decisions or assessments with regards to the safe operation of the equipment we are responsible for
- Ability to lift up to 100lbs
Responsibilities
- Machinery and equipment installation, preventative maintenance, service, repair and overhaul
- Installing and adjusting machinery and equipment, fabricating parts as needed, rigging, leveling and aligning, troubleshooting equipment breakdowns
- Maintain all lifts and related equipment in accordance with CSA Z-98 code and manufacturer’s specifications
- Assist staff with emergency situations
- Report and rectify any unsafe situations
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment
- Other duties as assigned
