About The Position

Reporting to the Millwright Supervisor, the successful candidate will assist with trouble shooting, diagnosing, and performing routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance on a wide variety of production equipment throughout our plant. Working alongside experienced tradespeople, the Millwright Apprentice will develop the skills and knowledge required to inspect, repair, install, and maintain mechanical equipment while progressing through their apprenticeship.

Requirements

Minimum of one year Millwright apprenticeship training completed (eligible to register or currently is registered as a 2nd Year Millwright Apprentice).
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent mechanical aptitude with a high level of attention to detail.
Commitment to working safely, supported by strong communication & interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts as required.
Valid Class 5 drivers’ license.

Nice To Haves

Experience in an industrial or wood products manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
Welding experience is considered an asset.
