About The Position

East Coast Lumber is seeking full-time Millwork Showroom Sales Associates. The role focuses on assisting homeowners and contractors with millwork needs by understanding their project requirements and recommending suitable products and solutions. The associate creates and maintains quotes and orders, follows through on fulfillment, manages order and estimate reports, researches products and manuals online, and helps maintain and organize the Millwork showroom. The position may also assist Contractor Sales with special orders as needed. East Coast Lumber is a family-owned, full-service lumber yard and building supply company located in East Hampstead, New Hampshire. It has supplied local builders, remodelers, and homeowners with lumber, building materials, kitchen and bath products, builder’s hardware, millwork, and equipment sales, rentals, and service since 1976. The position reports to the Sales Manager.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Good organizational and computer skills.
Two or more years of experience selling millwork, including doors, windows, and stair parts.
Proficiency communicating product features, specifications, and recommendations to customers.
Ability to work with vendors and coworkers in a team environment.
Excellent verbal and written customer service and communication skills.
Positive, professional attitude.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Meet with homeowners and contractors, understand their needs, and recommend solutions for their projects.
Take accurate notes, create and maintain quotes and orders, and follow through with order fulfillment.
Manage order and estimate reports.
Research products and manuals online.
Help maintain and organize the Millwork showroom.
Assist Contractor Sales with special orders as needed.
