Millwork Install and Service Lead

About The Position

The Millwork Install and Service Lead directs the work of Millwork Install and Service I, II, and III associates who install and service millwork products. This is a working role that also leads a team and oversees the installation and service process to ensure it is carried out efficiently. The lead oversees fewer than 10 associates, assigns daily work, and coordinates advanced installation activities to meet quality standards and production schedules.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
4–6 years of millwork installation or service experience.
Ability to read and use a measuring tape and other tools required for installation.
Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to provide and/or follow detailed instructions.
Availability for overtime as needed.
Excellent teamwork and customer-relationship skills.

Responsibilities

Follow the field supervisor’s instructions regarding installation of millwork materials.
Work with other installers to install millwork products as assigned and trained.
Follow manufacturer directions and warranty requirements when installing products.
Track time and materials for each installation project as required.
Maintain equipment in good order and report malfunctions to the field supervisor.
Operate equipment safely and responsibly.
Provide quality customer service.
Attend training on new building-material technology and installation methods as required by location management.
Cross-train in other areas to expand knowledge and expertise.
Maintain awareness of the work environment to produce error-free, damage-free results.
Direct daily work assignments for fewer than 10 associates and coordinate advanced installation activities to meet quality standards and production schedules.
Perform other duties as assigned.
