About The Position

The Mill Operator is responsible for the manufacturing of livestock feed and all related paperwork. Additional duties include loading/unloading trucks, customer service, grounds and equipment maintenance, warehouse maintenance, and other related feed production duties, forklift operation and grain handling. The shift is approximately 4:00 pm to 2:00 am Monday thru Friday with potential for some occasional weekends or overtime.

• Agriculture background a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing of livestock feed and all related paperwork.

• Forklift operation and grain handling.
• Assist other mill employees with operating activities.
• Operate scales for inbound and outbound trucks.
• Performing basic preventative maintenance, including housekeeping items.
• Understanding the feed ingredients and proper handling techniques.
• Accurately distribute feed directly to a feed truck.
• Operate equipment safely.
• Consistently follow all laws, regulations, and safety rules.
• Properly complete necessary paperwork and records.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
