About The Position

The Mill Operator is responsible for the manufacturing of livestock feed and all related paperwork. This role also involves loading/unloading trucks, customer service, grounds and equipment maintenance, warehouse maintenance, and other related feed production duties, forklift operation and grain handling. The operator must be able to work independently and efficiently with little or no supervision, assist other mill employees, operate scales for inbound and outbound trucks, and perform basic preventative maintenance including housekeeping. Understanding feed ingredients and proper handling techniques, accurately distributing feed to a feed truck, and operating equipment safely are key responsibilities. The role requires consistently following all laws, regulations, and safety rules, and properly completing necessary paperwork and records. Additional duties may be assigned.
