About The Position
This position operates complex machines and performs precision work on parts with complex configurations and close tolerances. The role requires the ability to troubleshoot processes, adjust controls, and replace worn tools to maintain specifications. The machinist will follow setup instructions and apply knowledge of procedures to ensure first piece inspections are accurate. This is a 2nd shift position with a 15% shift differential, working a 4-day work week, Monday through Thursday, 10 hours per day.
Requirements
- Experience in Aerospace industry.
- Ability to do basic set ups on 4 and 5 Axis Machines
- Ability to follow set up instructions including setting up fixtures, vices, and rotaries.
- Ability to Troubleshoot
- Ability to work complex machines.
- Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Skilled in performing precision work on parts that present complex configurations and close tolerance between interrelated surfaces.
