About The Position

The Military Storekeeper operates a central warehouse supporting buildings and grounds maintenance for the Military Department. The position requisitions, receives, inspects, stores, and issues a wide range of maintenance and construction supplies, tools, and equipment. It also manages the manufacture and control of facility keys and maintains accurate inventory and purchasing records. Other duties include coordinating with vendors, conducting authorized local procurement, and overseeing parts salvage. The role involves moving heavy objects, working independently, supervising other employees, and performing some deliveries and errands. A valid Vermont driver's license or other means of transportation is required. This is a non-tenured Limited Service position authorized for a specific period of time.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two or more years of experience in retail inventory or building and construction.
• Ability to move heavy objects and function independently.
• Ability to supervise other employees.
• Valid Vermont driver's license or other means of transportation.
