About The Position

Works as part of a building and grounds team to maintain military facilities supported by the Vermont National Guard. The role supports operational maintenance of live-fire ranges and training facilities and maintains grounds, ramps, and taxiways, including removing snow, debris, and vegetation. The specialist maintains and operates heavy equipment and performs related duties as required. Work is carried out under the oversight of licensed or qualified personnel and the direction of the District Facilities Manager. Training and any needed licensing will be provided to selected qualified candidates.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be eligible to obtain and hold a federal government-issued secret security clearance.
• May be required to obtain a Department of Defense Common Access Card (CAC), which requires passing a federal background check, including a fingerprint-supported criminal record check.

Responsibilities
