About The Position

This program is specifically designed for Active Duty military personnel in the Tampa, FL area who are interested in the SkillBridge program. Participants will engage in an individual internship in an entry to mid-level career role, receiving on-the-job training for approximately 40 hours per week. The program aims to provide transitioning service members with fellowship-style job skills training during the final stages of their military commitment, with the potential for full-time employment upon completion. The internship includes professional development, networking opportunities, and training focused on leadership principles, company history, customer engagement, product/service overview, and core job responsibilities. The ultimate goal is to position service members for a successful transition into the civilian workforce.

Requirements

• Active Duty military personnel.
• Located or relocating to the Tampa, FL area.
• Minimum of 180 days on active duty.
• Within 12 months of separation or retirement.
• Will receive an honorable discharge.
• Has taken any service TAPS/TGPS.
• Has attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months.
• Received Unit Commander (first O-4/Field Grade commander in chain of command) written authorization and approval to participate in DoD SkillBridge Program prior to start of internship.

Nice To Haves

• Active US Government Secret Security Clearance or higher preferred.
• Minimum of 3 months of eligible and approved SkillBridge Internship available.
