About The Position

Renown Health offers a student externship and aims to provide a positive educational experience, with the possibility of future employment. Students must meet program and compliance requirements before and during their clinical rotation.

Requirements

• Enrollment in the required certification or degree program for a student externship.
• Completion of necessary courses and/or curriculum before the clinical rotation.
• Maintenance of applicable licenses, certificates, and permits necessary or required to perform the rotation.
• Proof of immunity to rubella and rubeola through two MMR vaccine doses or serological testing.
• Proof of varicella immunity through verbal or written history or titers.
• Initiation of the Hepatitis B vaccine series, or declination and/or testing to document serologic response.
• A two-step TB skin test or Quantiferon testing completed within the last 12 months.
• Completion of a flu shot during flu season, as indicated by the state regulatory agency.
• AHA-approved BLS certification, if applicable.
• Completion of HIPAA compliance training.
• Training in human blood and body fluid precautions and infection control.
• Completion of a criminal background check.
• Proof of a negative drug screen.
