About The Position

The Military Awards Analyst provides administrative and analytical support by managing and responding to award related and administrative inquiries in support of mission requirements. This position is responsible for researching, processing, and resolving inquiries while ensuring all actions are accurate, timely, and completed in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS), applicable laws, regulations, policies, and standard operating procedures. The role supports efficient case handling, professional correspondence, and the maintenance of complete, organized, and auditable records.

Requirements

  • Competent knowledge of Army Regulation applicable laws, DoW policy, and ADB SOPs.
  • Competency in Army procedures (proper staffing and proper approval authority).
  • 100% accountability of cases worked (tracking through system).
  • SECRET security clearance and adherence to the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and internal security guidelines and procedures.
  • Knowledge and comprehension of performance standards set forth in the Project Work Statement (PWS).

Nice To Haves

  • Proven knowledge of subject matter contained in AR 600-8-22 and AR 25-50.
  • Competency in Army postal procedures.
  • 100% accountability of cases.
  • Effective follow-through.
  • Competency in applicable Army systems (SMS, iPERMS, ARIMS, FMS, TACOM).

Responsibilities

  • Managing and responding to award-related inquiries received through office email and mail.
  • Providing accurate, timely, and professional responses to routine and moderately complex inquiries, while ensuring all actions are properly documented and aligned with established guidance outlined in AR 600-8-22 and AR 25-50.
  • Reviewing, researching, and responding to incoming inquiries received via multiple communication channels, ensuring responses are accurate, complete, and aligned with applicable guidance.
  • Utilizing systems, records, and regulatory references to process inquiries and develop professional written correspondence in accordance with organizational standards.
  • Managing assigned workload to ensure timely processing of inquiries while maintaining quality, consistency, and adherence to policy and award criteria.
  • Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including responding to inquiries, conducting follow-ups, and obtaining or clarifying required information.
  • Identifying recurring issues, trends, or gaps in information and elevating awareness or process improvement.
  • Providing general administrative support, including data entry, document management, and other tasks as required to support mission execution.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Ensuring completed written work receives close technical review from the Team Lead and higher-level personnel before a final decision is rendered and mailed out.
