Leidos is seeking licensed behavioral health professionals to join their Child and Youth Behavioral, Military and Family Life Counselor (MFLC) team to support Dyess AFB, TX. This role supports U.S. military service members and their families by providing non-medical support, including counseling, consultation, and outreach, to eligible faculty, staff, parents, children, and youth. The non-medical counseling is preventive and aims to address issues before they become significant challenges, recognizing the unique emotional and environmental challenges military children face. Counselors will work in Child Development Centers (CDCs) and after-school care centers, engaging with children and youth, coaching staff and parents, and modeling behavior management techniques. They will also offer presentations on social skills and social-emotional learning, promote creativity, build rapport with families at community events, and assist children with transitions. Regular in-service training and communication of trends to Team Leads are also part of the role.
