About The Position

Venesco LLC is seeking Military Family Licensed Counselors (MFLC) to support military members and families at/around Minot AFB in Minot, ND. Immediate openings are available for year-round Counselors to work with either adults or school-based children on the Air Force base. The role involves helping children and families cope with the stresses of military life, such as deployment, frequent relocations, isolation, and parental absence. Counselors will provide problem-solving skills, non-medical counseling, coaching, training, and education to address issues like living conditions, life skills, relationships, stress management, adjustment, marital problems, parenting, fear, grief, and loss. School counselors and Child Development Center Counselors will be assigned to DoDEA schools, military childcare centers, and potentially local community schools, requiring experience in a school setting for CYB positions. CYB counselors also work with youth programs, summer camps, and on-demand assignments, collaborating with military Points of Contact (POCs) to ensure contract scope and installation needs are met. This is an opportunity to provide non-medical services to active-duty service members and their families.

Requirements

Master’s degree in the Behavioral Health Professions
Minimum 2 years of post-master’s supervised clinical experience
Mental Health Licensure at the Independent Practice level (LCSW/LICSW, LMFT, LPC, LCPC, and LMHC)
School Counselors must demonstrate past experience working in a school setting or other Child/Youth Services setting.
Must be a U.S. citizen
Able to obtain a NACI level government security clearance

Responsibilities

Provide non-medical counseling, coaching, training, and education to military service members and their families.
Address issues such as deployment, frequent relocations, isolation, children coping with the absence of a parent, child education, and spousal employment.
Offer support for living conditions, life skills, improving relationships, stress management, adjustment issues, marital problems, parenting, fear, grief, and loss.
For school-based roles, work in DoDEA schools, military childcare centers, and potentially local community schools.
For CYB roles, be assigned to youth programs, summer camps, and for on-demand assignments.
Work closely with military branch Points of Contact (POCs) to ensure program delivery within contract scope and meet installation needs.
