About The Position

The Renfrew Center of Boston, Massachusetts is hiring a Milieu Counselor to support clinical staff within an intensive outpatient eating disorder treatment program. The Renfrew Center uses a research-based treatment model focused on treating the whole person and supporting patients in leading rich and fulfilling lives. Its treatment philosophy emphasizes a collaborative therapeutic relationship, a feminist-relational approach, and active participation in recovery. The Center serves cisgender adolescent girls and adult women, as well as transgender and non-binary individuals.

The role includes supporting patients and clinicians with clinical coordination and meal-related needs. The position is on-call.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Prior healthcare experience preferred.

• A major in Psychology, Nutrition, or a related field.
• Prior healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate patient orientation on the day of admission.
• Conduct follow-up calls to patients after discharge.
• Collect and submit patient weights and vital signs.
• Manage audio recordings of groups for clinicians.
• Set up and break down meal-related needs for patients.
• Provide oversight for patients during meals and snacks.
• Manage meal supply inventory, including ordering, receiving, and labeling supplies.
• Perform other clinical and dietary responsibilities as required.
