The Office of Emergency Medical Services (OEMS) is a section within the Division of Health Service Regulation, whose purpose is to enable and assist providers of Emergency Medical Services in the delivery of adequate emergency medical and trauma services for all people of North Carolina and to provide medical care during an emergency or disaster. This mission is achieved through both regulatory oversight and technical assistance to Emergency Medical Services (EMS) systems statewide, ensuring that the systems are in compliance with general statutes and the administrative rules of the NC Medical Care Commission. The Position is responsible for providing Mobile Integrated Health (MIH) program support to the statewide projected $1B federally funded Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP). The Mobile Integrated Health (MIH) Specialist serves as a key member of the Mobile Integrated Health (MIH) team, providing programmatic coordination and operational support for statewide MIH initiatives. This position supports the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of program activities by coordinating contractor deliverables, monitoring program performance, facilitating stakeholder engagement, supporting contract and fiscal oversight activities, and ensuring compliance with reporting requirements. The position functions as a liaison among program staff, contractors, healthcare partners, and other stakeholders to advance program goals and ensure timely completion of project objectives.
