About The Position

WireCrafters, LLC is hiring a first-shift MIG Welder to weld metal components into metal panels according to set specifications, tolerances, and requirements, producing high-quality woven wire products. Starting pay is $20.50 per hour, with regular quarterly raises beginning after three months until top-out pay of $31.46 per hour is reached in approximately 2.5 years. Employees at top-out pay receive an annual cost-of-living raise. The schedule is 6:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with some overtime on Friday. Work takes place in a manufacturing facility or warehouse with moderate-to-loud noise and no temperature regulation. The role involves working alone or with coworkers, maintaining a steady pace, and meeting daily productivity goals. Mandatory overtime may be required depending on the operating schedule. After 90 days, employees are eligible for health, dental, and vision insurance; a flexible spending account; life insurance; a 401(k) with matching; and paid time off.

Requirements

MIG welding experience.
Ability to read a standard tape measure.
Ability to read, write, and perform basic math calculations.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret standard production drawings and job specifications.
Weld metal components into metal panels of various sizes.
Prepare material surfaces for welding by ensuring they are free of loose or thick scale, slag, rust, moisture, grease, and other foreign matter.
Grind excess weld and rough spots using portable grinders.
Inspect products to verify that they conform to specifications.
Ensure materials and supplies are available as needed to support efficient processes and meet daily productivity goals.
Detect and notify a supervisor about faulty equipment operation or defective materials.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
