About The Position

This role involves performing MIG welding and fabrication tasks within a manufacturing environment. The responsibilities include using various shop tools and equipment for material fit-ups, layouts, assembly, and inspection. The position requires the ability to read blueprints, perform calculations, and work effectively as part of a team to ensure products meet specifications.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or equivalent, required
• Manufacturing/Fabrication experience
• 2-3 years of MIG Welding experience, required
• Able to use power tools
• Able to read tape measure/Blueprints
• Able to lift 50 lbs
• Able to read blueprints
• Able to troubleshoot and problem solve
• Must be highly motivated
• Able to communicate and work well with others
• Read, write, and speak English fluently
• Must have reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Measure, compare and make simple or complex shop calculations necessary to ensure products are in conformance with engineering or sales specifications using materials, methods and equipment in the shop (included but not limited to sanders, drills, air, and electric hand cutting tools)
• Material fit ups and layouts with steel
• MIG Welding as part of a team
• Position and secure workpieces using hand tools, forklifts, etc.
• Inspect products/equipment for defects/malfunctions
• Sanding/grinding
• Breaking out steel
• Steel panel assembly with bolt together construction
• Material handling/forklift
