About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Middle School Volleyball Coach at Webberville Middle & High School for the upcoming season. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing student-athletes' skills, fostering teamwork, and promoting sportsmanship while creating a positive and inclusive environment. This is a seasonal position that requires a commitment to the duration of the volleyball season.

Requirements

Previous coaching experience, preferably at the middle school or high school level.
Strong knowledge of volleyball fundamentals, strategies, and rules.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes to achieve their best.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed during the season.
Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Background check clearance as required by school district policies.
A passion for teaching and mentoring young athletes in a positive and inclusive manner.

Responsibilities

Plan and conduct daily practice sessions to develop players’ skills and understanding of the game.
Develop game strategies and prepare the team for competitions.
Organize and manage team schedules, including practices, games, and tournaments.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of student-athletes, providing constructive feedback and support.
Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes respect, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Communicate regularly with players, parents, and school administration regarding team progress and expectations.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes during practices and competitions.
Uphold school policies and regulations while promoting the values of Webberville Middle & High School.
Attend coaching clinics and workshops to stay current with coaching techniques and strategies.
Collaborate with other coaches and staff to promote overall athletic programs at the school.
