About The Position

The Upper Darby School District is seeking applicants for a full-time Art Teacher position at Clifton Heights Middle School. This is a permanent position beginning August 2026. The job goal is to participate, as a member of the instructional staff, in directing the learning of middle school students, aiming toward the attainment of general and specific objectives of the curricula of the school and the school district. The Upper Darby School District's mission is to provide a comprehensive educational program that develops all learners into critical thinkers with effective communication skills, empowering them to adapt to an ever-changing world. Requirements

• PA Instructional Certificate in Art (PK-12)
• BA required in appropriate major study
• Knowledge of content in area of certification
• Classroom/group management skills
• Ability to use instructional materials and equipment
• Knowledge of child growth and development
• Instructional skills
• Planning Skills
• Human Relations Skills
• Strong communication and motivational skills
• Ability to effectively communicate with, instruct, and work with students, staff and parents/guardians

Responsibilities
