The Support Teacher role involves flexibly supporting student learning, primarily as an in-building Substitute Teacher, and adapting to the needs of students across the school. This engagement can include covering classrooms, pulling small groups for intervention, classroom observations, and supporting school-wide procedures. In cases of teacher transition, the support teacher may serve as an interim teacher. The role also includes curriculum development and instruction, planning and using appropriate strategies, and fostering a positive school and classroom culture. Family engagement and a growth mindset are also key components of this position.
