About The Position

Middle School Special Education Teacher for Reading School District, interviewing for the 26-27 school year for a Grade 5-6 Emotional Support Classroom. The role involves developing and delivering specialized instruction to students with emotional support (ES) needs, establishing a supportive learning environment, evaluating and assessing student progress, providing guidance to support staff, and coordinating the delivery of special education services in each student’s IEP. The Center for Effective Schools utilizes an indirect service delivery approach based on applied behavior analysis and positive behavior support, delivered within a preventative or early intervening framework.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years or older
  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related degree required
  • Previous Special Education Teacher experience strongly preferred, will also consider student teaching experience
