About The Position

This is a social and cultural club for middle school students. The club meets once per month from September to May, with meetings lasting between 1.25 to 5 hours. The goal of the club is to expose students to cultural experiences and align with the district's mission statement by helping students cultivate academic and artistic excellence, and become confident, ethical, empathetic, and responsible citizens.

Requirements

Active knowledge of cultural opportunities as well as student interest in those opportunities.
Must be flexible and organized.

Responsibilities

Overseeing and supporting students as they participate in a variety of cultural activities and experiences.
Coordinating the purchase, collection, and distribution of materials.
Creating and distributing permission forms.
Collecting and tracking payments.
Maintaining the club’s budget and financial records.
Coordinating transportation for off-campus activities.
Recruiting and organizing parent chaperones and other necessary supervision.
Ensuring that student allergies, medical needs, and social-emotional well-being are considered when planning activities.
Adding events to the school activities calendar.
Reserving appropriate spaces.
Managing the logistical details necessary for safe, organized, and successful club activities.
