About The Position

Prelude Prep is a tuition-free public charter school serving students in Pre-K through 8th grade in San Antonio. We are seeking a Middle School Science Teacher who is passionate about helping students understand how the world works through observation, investigation, and critical thinking. Whether you are an experienced educator or someone with a strong background in science, engineering, healthcare, technology, research, or a related field, we are looking for someone who believes students can achieve at high levels and is excited to help them get there. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with middle school students

  • Experience tutoring, mentoring, coaching, leading youth programs, or working with children in another setting

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, standards-aligned science instruction
  • Guide students through investigations, experiments, and scientific discussions
  • Help students analyze data, draw conclusions, and support their thinking with evidence
