Job Summary Sacred Heart Catholic School is seeking a Middle School Religion Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. The teacher is responsible for providing instruction aligned with Archdiocesan curriculum standards while supporting the mission and philosophy of Catholic education.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Religious Studies, Education, or related field
  • Missouri teaching certification (or eligibility to obtain) preferred
  • Practicing Catholic in good standing preferred
  • Middle school teaching experience preferred
  • Commitment to Catholic education and formation

Responsibilities

  • Teach Religion to middle school students
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons rooted in Catholic teaching
  • Instruct students in scripture, doctrine, prayer, and Catholic traditions
  • Assess student learning and maintain required academic records
  • Foster students’ spiritual growth and understanding of the Catholic faith
  • Maintain a positive, structured, and faith‑centered learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with parents and school staff
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school activities
