About The Position

The Middle School Principal is responsible for providing leadership in developing and maintaining the best possible educational system and service. This role involves promoting the success of every student by facilitating a shared vision of learning, advocating for a positive school culture, ensuring efficient management of resources, collaborating with the community, acting with integrity, and understanding the broader educational context.

Requirements

Must be certified in the State of Arizona as a principal and have all the coursework required to carry out the responsibilities fully and effectively.
Arizona SEI Endorsement required (or must obtain within the first year).
Must have a proven successful employment record.

Nice To Haves

An understanding and familiarity with Navajo/Hopi education and the particular situation, circumstances, and problems that are involved is preferred.

Responsibilities

Facilitates the development, articulation, implementation, and stewardship of a vision of learning that is shared and supported by all stakeholders.
Advocates, nurtures, and sustains a school culture and instructional program conducive to student learning and staff professional growth.
Ensures management of the organization, operation, and resources for a safe, efficient, and effective learning environment.
Collaborates with faculty and community members, responding to diverse community interests and needs, and mobilizing community resources.
Acts with integrity, fairness, and in an ethical manner.
Understands, responds to, and influences the political, social, economic, legal, and cultural context.
Performs any other duties as assigned.
