About The Position

This role involves reporting to BCMS daily to substitute teach in classrooms as needed. The teacher will be responsible for student instruction and supervision, classroom management, and serving as a role model. Utilizing formative assessment is also a key aspect of the position. When not actively substituting, the teacher may assist with hallway and school grounds monitoring, participate in after-school and extracurricular activities, maintain accurate classroom records, and attend professional development conferences and workshops. Collaboration as a team member is expected, and other duties may be assigned by administration when a substitute is not required.

Requirements

• Michigan Certification and Endorsement for appropriate grade levels required
• Must meet all of the NCLB qualifications

Responsibilities

• Report to BCMS every school day and sub in classrooms as needed
