About The Position

This role involves reporting to BCHS daily to substitute teach in classrooms as needed. The teacher will be responsible for instruction and supervision of students, maintaining classroom management, and serving as a role model. Additionally, the position may involve monitoring hallways and school grounds, participating in after-school and extracurricular activities, keeping accurate classroom records, and attending professional development. When substitute teaching is not required, other duties will be assigned by administration.

Requirements

• Michigan Certification and Endorsement for appropriate grade levels required
• Must meet all of the NCLB qualifications

Responsibilities

• Report to BCHS every school day and sub in classrooms as needed
• Instruction and supervision of students
• Knowledgeable in classroom management
• Be a role model for students
• Utilize and understand formative assessment
• Help monitor hallways and school grounds
• Be involved in after-school and extracurricular activities
• Keep accurate classroom records
• Attend conferences and workshops to keep current
• Work as a team member
• Supervision of students as needed
• When a sub is not needed, other duties will be assigned by administration
