Middle School Girls Basketball Coach
About The Position
The Middle School Girls Basketball Coach coordinates the middle school basketball program at Neil Armstrong Middle School. The coach supports off-season organization, develops players’ skills and participation, communicates with students, athletes, parents, and the community, and monitors student-athletes’ grades and school attendance. The position supervises students before, during, and after practices and games and collaborates with coaches at the middle school and high school to build a strong athletic program. The coach is expected to maintain high academic expectations and uphold ethical standards and good sportsmanship.
Requirements
- Successful basketball coaching experience.
- Basketball background and NFHS training.
- Communication, motivation, and organization skills.
- Ability to conduct oneself with the highest ethical and moral standards of sportsmanship and teaching.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the middle school basketball program.
