About The Position

The Girls’ Middle School Assistant Basketball Coach is responsible for assisting in the development of a competitive, values-based basketball program that reflects the mission and educational philosophy of Wichita Collegiate School. This role involves teaching and mentoring students of different skill levels and supporting the head coach in all aspects of program management.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• At least three years of work-related experience.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Knowledge of the sport of Basketball.
• Ability to manage student behavior and participation.
• Ability to actively coach on the court during practices and games.
• Ability to lift and move athletic equipment when needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of a competitive, values-based basketball program.
• Work the entire girls basketball season: October 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026.
• Conduct daily practices, Monday through Friday from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM.
• Manage a schedule of games for the Middle School Girls Basketball Team.
• Transport players with school vehicles to area games.
• Teach and mentor students of different skill levels.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the head coach.
