About The Position

This teaching position is for an IB MYP Design teacher, with a minimum of one year of teaching design, mathematics, science, social studies or in the humanities. We are looking for an educator to build students' critical thinking and communication skills, to help students learn to collaborate productively and to lead students through an inquiry-based and project-based class.

Requirements

• Degree in education or a related field.
• Teaching certification and experience in middle/junior high education.
• Minimum of one year of teaching design, mathematics, science, social studies or in the humanities.
• Ability to build students' critical thinking and communication skills.
• Ability to help students learn to collaborate productively.
• Ability to lead students through an inquiry-based and project-based class.
• Strong subject matter expertise and instructional skills.
• Excellent classroom management and communication abilities.
• Ability to engage and motivate middle/junior high students.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Willingness to undergo appropriate vetting procedures, including online due diligence, references, and Criminal Background Checks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement curriculum and lesson plans for middle/junior high students.
• Deliver engaging and effective instruction.
• Assess and monitor student learning and progress.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians.
