Girls Basketball, Middle School Assistant Coach
About The Position
The State College Area School District anticipates filling a Middle School Girls Basketball Assistant Coach position. The coach provides leadership and guidance to student-athletes and supports the overall vision for the Junior High Program. Assistant coaches report to the High School and Junior High Head Coaches in support of program goals and initiatives. The role involves instructing student-athletes in fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training, as well as guiding and mentoring them to become driven and responsible student-athletes and citizens. The Pennsylvania Department of Education and the PIAA require specific safety and coaching training, including CPR and First Aid; details are available on the Athletics website.
