About The Position

Hudson River Trading is seeking a Middle Office Analyst in New York with experience supporting Macro trading products. The Middle Office team ensures the smooth operation of HRT’s post-trade platform, supporting trading across asset classes and geographies. The team designs and operates systems and processes to reconcile trading with brokers and counterparties, and works with other teams on corporate actions, commission programs, and tracking trading costs. The role involves collaborating with external counterparties and internal stakeholders, reconciling trade, position, cash, and PnL discrepancies, documenting processes, onboarding trading into existing platforms, processing corporate actions, and maintaining commission structures. The team emphasizes automation, attention to detail, communication, and ownership in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

3–5 years of relevant financial markets industry experience, preferably supporting a Macro trading desk.
Experience with Python and UNIX operating systems; the company uses Linux.
Experience with SQL and relational databases.
Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to take ownership of work and learn from mistakes.
Ability to debug, analyze, and troubleshoot problems quickly under pressure.
Comfort working independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Derivatives, Futures, Fixed Income, or Rates products.
Familiarity with CTM, ICELink, Markitwire, or Repo Match.

Responsibilities

Work with external counterparties to monitor and resolve daily position, trade, and cash discrepancies, supporting effective book management.
Work with internal stakeholders to identify and implement workflow improvements.
Document complex processes and develop middle office guidelines.
Onboard new trading into existing technology and platforms.
Reconcile daily position, cash, and PnL breaks with internal and external parties.
Research and process applicable corporate actions.
Maintain and update commission structures across all markets.
