About The Position

PeopleTec is seeking a Systems Engineer/Analyst to support the Missile Defense Agency Systems Engineering Directorate and provide verification and validation support for the System Verification Director in Huntsville, Alabama. The role helps define, analyze, and manage requirements across the system life cycle, from concept development through testing and deployment. The engineer/analyst develops and maintains code for Ground Test and Flight Test data analysis, collaborates with developers on code and analysis tools in a Git repository, and writes Python, MATLAB, and shell scripts to verify and validate Missile Defense Element test-system requirements. The role also conducts System Interface Control Document requirements checkout using MATLAB analysis code and tactical message log data. It develops scripts to import, parse, and extract Missile Defense Data Center ground- and flight-test data for Threat V&V, Core Truth Model, SICD, System Federation Validation Events, and System Post Flight Reconstruction analyses.

Requirements

5–8+ years of relevant experience.
Proven systems engineering experience supporting missile defense or other complex defense systems.
Strong ability to use Python and MATLAB and execute operating-system shell command scripts.
Strong understanding of MDA system architectures, lifecycle processes, and verification and validation.
Ability to translate high-level mission objectives into detailed technical requirements.
Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must have an active DoD Secret clearance upon hire and be able to maintain it during employment.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain code for Ground Test and Flight Test data analysis required by MDA/SEQV.
Coordinate with other developers on code modifications and analysis tools in a Git repository.
Write Python, MATLAB, and shell command scripts to verify and validate Missile Defense Element test-system requirements using ground- and flight-test data.
Execute System Interface Control Document requirements checkout using MATLAB requirements-analysis code and tactical message log data.
Develop scripts to import, parse, and extract Missile Defense Data Center ground- and flight-test data for Threat V&V, Core Truth Model, SICD, SFVE, and SPFR analyses.
