About The Position

PeopleTec is seeking a Mid-to-Senior-Level Engineer/Analyst to support its Huntsville, Alabama location. The role provides Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Verification, Validation, and Accreditation (VV&A) support to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) System Verification directorate. The selected candidate will lead M&S accreditation efforts for Aegis BMD, sensor models (including Cobra Dane, UEWR, AN/TPY-2, SBX, and LRDR), or other models represented in MDA Ground Test events. This is a full-time, on-site position at a government customer location. The Engineer/Analyst will collaborate with government customers, MDA stakeholders, program offices, and M&S development prime contractors. The role includes coordinating V&V evidence, conducting technical reviews, developing accreditation recommendations and documentation, tracking model limitations, supporting working group meetings, and reporting status to leadership. The position may also involve other related tasks assigned by the Director, MDA System Verification, or the M&S VV&A lead and strategic advisor.

Requirements

5–8+ years of relevant experience.
Proven experience with modeling and simulation applications.
Knowledge of M&S VV&A principles, methodologies, and accreditation processes.
Experience evaluating technical evidence of complex defense systems and developing defensible engineering recommendations.
Familiarity with the Missile Defense System architecture and its integrated defense systems.
Ability to independently lead technical assessments, work within a multidisciplinary team, develop action plans, and communicate status and findings to government leadership.
Strong technical writing, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must hold an active DoD Secret clearance upon hire and be able to maintain that clearance during employment.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

Nice To Haves

Top Secret clearance preferred.
Advanced degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Demonstrated experience with the Aegis BMD weapon system and/or Sensor components of the Missile Defense System architecture.
Experience developing or reviewing M&S accreditation plans, V&V reports, accreditation assessments, and technical recommendations.

Responsibilities

Serve as a subject matter expert on information associated with assigned Hardware-in-the-Loop M&S, including M&S versions, V&V plans, and M&S versus tactical boundaries.
Coordinate with model owners to develop executable action plans for timely delivery of V&V evidence supporting MDA M&S accreditation assessments of applicable Ground Test data sources.
Conduct technical reviews of V&V evidence and develop M&S accreditation recommendations for the MDA accreditation authority.
Author sections or provide technical input for MDA M&S accreditation reports and briefings, decision memoranda, and accreditation plans.
Develop Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M) to address high-priority issues affecting M&S accreditation.
Interface regularly with model owners and V&V agents to address M&S limitations affecting accreditation outcomes.
Document and maintain M&S limitation resolution plans in an online repository for tracking and reporting.
Collaborate with model owners to maintain or refine Performance Parameters, Acceptability Criteria, and Evaluation Methodologies for current and future M&S Accreditation Plan releases.
Support Operational Capability List Working Group meetings by briefing MDA M&S accreditation status for HWIL models supporting Missile Defense System performance assessment of capabilities to be fielded.
Provide regular verbal and written status updates to leadership on areas of responsibility for M&S VV&A.
Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Director, MDA System Verification, or the M&S VV&A lead and strategic advisor.
