About The Position

PeopleTec is seeking a Mid-to-Senior-Level Systems Engineer/Analyst to support the Missile Defense Agency Systems Engineering Directorate at its Huntsville, Alabama location. The role provides verification and validation support for the System Verification Director and contributes to defining, analyzing, and managing requirements throughout the system life cycle, from concept development through testing and deployment. The position involves developing and maintaining analysis code and tools for Ground Test and Flight Test data, validating Missile Defense Element system requirements, checking out System Interface Control Document requirements against tactical message logs, and preparing data for a range of MDA/SEQV analysis activities.

Requirements

5–8+ years of relevant experience.
Proven systems engineering experience supporting missile defense or other complex defense systems.
Strong ability to use Python and MATLAB and execute operating system shell command scripts.
Strong understanding of MDA system architectures, lifecycle processes, and verification and validation.
Ability to translate high-level mission objectives into detailed technical requirements.
Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Active DoD Secret clearance required upon hire, with the ability to maintain that clearance during employment.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain code for Ground Test and Flight Test data analysis required by MDA/SEQV.
Coordinate with other developers on code modifications and analysis tools in a Git repository containing thousands of executable lines of Python code.
Write Python, MATLAB, and shell command scripts to verify and validate Missile Defense Element test system requirements using Ground Test and Flight Test data.
Execute System Interface Control Document (SICD) requirements checkout using MATLAB requirements-analysis code against tactical message log data recorded from flight and ground test sources.
Develop scripts to import, parse, and extract Missile Defense Data Center (MDDC) ground and flight test data for MDA/SEQV activities, including Threat V&V, Core Truth Model (CTM), SICD, and System Federation Validation Events (SFVE) / System Post Flight Reconstruction (SPFR) performance-parameter analysis.
