About The Position

Accenture Federal Services is seeking an experienced Azure Integration Platform Architect to lead the architecture, strategy, and governance of an enterprise Azure-based integration platform. The role defines the technical roadmap, security architecture, and integration patterns for scalable, secure, and compliant API and event-driven solutions across cloud and hybrid environments. The architect leads the Azure Enterprise Integration Gateway and governs solutions built with Azure API Management, Application Gateway, Service Bus, Event Grid, Event Hubs, Logic Apps, Key Vault, API Center, and Developer Portal. The role also drives the Azure API Platform Authority to Operate (ATO) strategy, supports FISMA and RMF compliance, and oversees Terraform infrastructure-as-code and DevSecOps practices. The position establishes integration patterns across Azure, on-premises, and multi-cloud environments; designs Zero Trust security; and governs AI integration capabilities. It also reviews designs and implementations, maintains architecture and operational documentation, and works with architects, integration teams, MuleSoft architects, and program leadership to align governance and release management.

Requirements

8+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years in enterprise integration architecture focused on Microsoft Azure.
Deep expertise with Azure API Management (APIM), Service Bus, Event Grid, and Azure integration services.
Experience designing hybrid and multi-cloud integration architectures.
Proven experience leading Azure API Platform ATO initiatives and compliance activities.
Hands-on experience with Terraform-based Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and DevSecOps practices.
Strong knowledge of platform security, continuous monitoring, POA&M remediation, and compliance frameworks.
Experience designing and implementing Zero Trust security architectures.
Familiarity with MuleSoft integrations and hybrid enterprise environments.
Ability to lead technical strategy, mentor engineering teams, and review platform and API designs.
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert.

Experience with MCP Gateway, agent orchestration, and AI-enabled integration platforms.

Responsibilities

Lead the architecture and technical roadmap for the Azure Enterprise Integration Gateway.
Design and govern solutions using Azure API Management (APIM), Application Gateway, Service Bus, Event Grid, Event Hubs, Logic Apps, Key Vault, API Center, and Developer Portal.
Drive the Azure API Platform Authority to Operate (ATO) strategy and ensure compliance with FISMA and RMF requirements.
Design and oversee Terraform-based Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and DevSecOps pipelines, including security scanning and certificate lifecycle automation.
Define enterprise integration patterns across Azure, on-premises, and multi-cloud environments, including API-led, event-driven, and publish-subscribe architectures.
Develop Zero Trust security architectures using least-privilege access, strong authentication, mutual TLS, and network segmentation.
Lead the design and governance of AI integration capabilities, including agent orchestration, MCP Gateway, and AI policy enforcement.
Review API designs, code, and platform implementations for adherence to architecture standards and best practices.
Produce and maintain architecture documentation, engineering standards, deployment guides, and operational runbooks.
Collaborate with enterprise architects, integration teams, MuleSoft architects, and program leadership to align standards, governance, and release management.
Mentor engineering teams and lead technical strategy.
