About The Position

As a Microsoft 365 Engineer within the Infrastructure Team, reporting to the Head of Infrastructure, you will be responsible for the delivery of Microsoft 365 transformation and migration projects, enabling customers to transition from legacy, on-premise environments to modern cloud-based collaboration and productivity services. You will work across the full Microsoft 365 ecosystem including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Identity/MFA, Microsoft Purview Information Protection & DLP. This role requires hands-on engineering delivery, strong customer-facing communication, and the ability to lead technical workstreams through assessment, migration, implementation and adoption.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience executing end-to-end M365 migrations (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive)
  • Strong understanding of modern Microsoft identity, security and governance standards
  • Comfort working directly with customers and stakeholders to gather requirements & deliver outcomes
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across hybrid authentication & cloud collaboration stacks
  • Clear communication skills — both written and verbal — for documentation and customer presentations
  • “Ownership mentality” — accountable, reliable, and focused on delivering a great customer experience
  • MS-900 — Microsoft 365 Fundamentals
  • MS-102 — Microsoft 365 Administrator Associate

Nice To Haves

  • Teams Calling/Voice experience beneficial but not mandatory
  • Knowledge of M365 licensing models & SKU entitlement mapping (Business/E3/E5 etc)
  • Experience with MFA, Conditional Access and Zero Trust-aligned security configuration
  • Hybrid environment experience (Active Directory, Entra ID, Exchange Hybrid, AAD Connect)
  • Microsoft Co-pilot and AI enablement planning desirable
  • Ability to produce adoption strategies, rollout communications & user enablement guides

Responsibilities

  • Deliver migrations from Exchange on-premises to Exchange Online
  • Mailbox discovery, assessment, schema mapping and cutover/hybrid migration execution
  • DNS/domain configuration, authentication & mail flow validation
  • Remediation and coexistence troubleshooting (autodiscover, transport, EOP etc.)
  • Migrate file servers, NAS storage and legacy SharePoint on-prem to SharePoint Online
  • Design, build & configure SharePoint Online site structures, permissions & governance
  • Implement OneDrive for Business including sync, rollout, configuration & adoption
  • Implement Microsoft Teams including governance, lifecycle management & policies
  • Migration of file and chat data (where applicable)
  • Implement Information Protection sensitivity labels and policies
  • Configure Purview Data Loss Prevention (DLP) rules and monitoring
  • Enable auditing, retention, compliance, insider risk policies and reporting
