About The Position

The Microsoft 365 Administrator plays an essential role within the IT Operations team, managing every aspect of the Microsoft 365 environment. This includes handling user accounts, licenses, security policies, and system configurations across core services such as Identity (Entra ID / Active Directory), Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Power platform. Candidates should demonstrate a successful history of managing a Microsoft 365 tenant, performing data migrations, and introducing new capabilities to the organization. This is a remote position.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing a Microsoft 365 tenant environment, including but not limited to, Identity (Entra ID / Active Directory), Exchange, SharePoint, and OneDrive experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent certifications and/or experience
  • Extensive experience managing Entra ID including managing users, groups, roles, applications, licenses, usage/insights, etc.
  • Expertise with a variety of command-line interfaces such as PowerShell, CMD, MS Graph API, etc.
  • Ability to perform Root Cause Analysis across a complex environment
  • Hands on experience planning and performing tenant migrations
  • Experience creating documentation for user and technical audiences
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to individuals at all organizational levels
  • Must embrace a mindset of constant growth and improvement
  • Must be self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision, and adaptable to change
  • Must possess exceptional attention to detail
  • Must be able to lawfully work within the US or Canada and have unrestricted work authorization in country of residence

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the Microsoft 365 environment daily and address both operational and security concerns as they arise
  • Support Active Directory, Entra ID, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and other Office 365 services
  • Implement, manage, and maintain SSO integrations throughout the business
  • Provide top tier escalation support as required
  • Participate in operations and application development projects as required
  • Implement operational and security policies in accordance with best practices
  • Assist with information security and compliance initiatives
  • Create and maintain documentation detailing architecture, procedures, and processes
  • Perform acquisition tasks including domain and data migrations from varied sources (Microsoft, Google, Dropbox, SharePoint, personal computers, etc.)
  • Assist with the rollout and adoption of new Microsoft 365 features and processes, including planning, the creation and delivery of training materials, and documentation
  • Evaluate and respond to scalability and capacity needs within each environment
  • Identify opportunities to scale Microsoft solutions in response to evolving business requirements
