About The Position

The Microbiologist I is responsible for performing routine microbiological testing and environmental monitoring activities in a regulated manufacturing environment. This role supports product quality, regulatory compliance, and laboratory operations by conducting microbiological analyses, documenting results accurately, and adhering to established procedures and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor in Microbiology with 1 year of experience
  • Knowledge of microbiological laboratory techniques and aseptic practices.
  • Understanding of GMP, GLP, and Good Documentation Practices.
  • Basic knowledge of USP, ISO, FDA, EMA, or other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, water systems, and environmental monitoring samples.
  • Conduct microbial enumeration, microbial identification, sterility testing, and bacterial endotoxin testing, as applicable.
  • Prepare culture media, reagents, and laboratory materials following approved procedures.
  • Accurately record, review, and maintain laboratory data in compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready laboratory environment.
  • Follow laboratory safety procedures and bio safety requirements.
