About The Position

The Manager of VDC manages VDC professionals and project-based implementation of Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) processes to ensure consistency, quality, and cross-functional alignment. The role leads delivery of model-based workflows supporting coordination, quantification, planning, and construction integration, and partners with project and business unit leadership to integrate VDC strategies into project planning and execution. The manager develops talent, promotes collaboration, and drives continuous improvement to strengthen DPR’s digital construction capabilities and client value. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
6–8 years of experience in VDC, BIM, or digital construction.

Nice To Haves

1–2 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity.

Responsibilities

Lead, manage, and develop VDC professionals delivering modeling, coordination, and planning services across multiple projects.
Oversee project-specific VDC strategy and ensure consistent execution, deliverable quality, and alignment with organizational standards.
Partner with project managers, design teams, and field operations to ensure VDC processes optimize constructability, safety, and efficiency.
Review and validate VDC resource planning, performance metrics, and deliverables for alignment with project and client goals.
Guide teams in identifying and mitigating risks related to coordination, model accuracy, or cross-functional data integration.
Promote process improvement by standardizing VDC tools, templates, and procedures to improve scalability and efficiency.
Coach and mentor VDC Engineers and Senior VDC Engineers, supporting their technical and professional growth.
