About The Position

Requirements

  • Proven capability to develop strong, productive relationships that enable effective decision‑making and cross‑functional problem solving.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to respond effectively to emergent operational issues, including serving in on‑call and storm response roles within an Incident Command System (ICS) structure.
  • Deep understanding of SCADA platforms and real-time control centers data communication protocols.
  • Expertise in real-time operations, HMI development, data acquisition, and historians.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NERC CIP, IEC 62443).
  • Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. (Required) with 7 years or more of experience in SCADA, industrial control systems, automation engineering, or real-time operations. (Required)
  • Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. (Required) with 9 years or more of experience in SCADA, industrial control systems, automation engineering, or real-time operations. (Required)
  • High School Diploma/GED with 10 or more years experience in SCADA, industrial control systems, automation engineering, or real-time operations. (Required)

Responsibilities

  • Set priorities, allocate resources, and ensure timely delivery of SCADA enhancements and issue resolution.
  • Oversee cybersecurity compliance activities.
  • Plan and manage budgets, vendor relationships, and resource allocation.
  • Cultivate strong collaboration with cross‑functional partners—including IT, OT, cybersecurity, field operations, regulatory teams, and control centers—to drive unified SCADA strategies, resolve complex issues, and deliver high‑value operational outcomes.
  • Manage, coach, and develop team members.
  • Lead modernization initiatives including upgrades and architecture improvements.
  • Provide leadership and direction for SCADA engineering teams.
  • Lead the integration of SCADA platforms with field devices, databases, historians, and enterprise systems.
  • Other duties as assigned or necessary.
  • Establish and maintain SCADA architecture standards and engineering practices.
  • Develop long‑term SCADA technology roadmaps and recommend strategic investments that strengthen system reliability, cybersecurity, scalability, and future operational capabilities.
  • Maintain audit readiness and lead SCADA incident escalation.
