About The Position

Develops and implements testing and inspection procedures. Tests raw material, chemicals, and/or finished product to quality controls to ensure compliance with quality standards and applicable government regulations. Audits testing results to determine if product specifications are met. Advises operating units on quality control standards for raw materials, chemicals, packaging materials, and finished products. Recommends corrective action where necessary and develops plant quality control manuals.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline (or the equivalent in education, training and experience), plus a minimum of 4 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; Master's degree and 2 years relevant experience.
HS/GED and 12 yrs of relevant experience.
AA Degree and 8 years relevant experience.

Nice To Haves

Demonstrated thorough understanding of ship construction, manufacturing processes, budget, and operations.
Progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience.
Demonstrated basic computer skills are required.
Must be able to read a blueprint and a tape measure.
Must have ability to inspect confined spaces, stooping, crawling, bending, climbing ladders and stairs when required.
Must be able to inspect at heights greater than 10 feet.
Must be able to work any assigned shift.
