About The Position

Applied Materials is seeking a Process Engineer Manager to manage engineers and process engineering projects across its full range of products. The role applies process engineering and hardware characterization expertise to develop methods, technologies, products, and analytical instrumentation; resolve complex process issues; and support integrated product specifications and documentation. The position also contributes to technology improvements that support market share gains.

The manager leads a generally homogeneous team, adapting plans and priorities to meet service and operational challenges. The role requires in-depth knowledge of the job family, understanding of how the function contributes to business objectives, and the ability to guide and influence internal and external partners. The employee must understand and comply with Applied Materials’ global Standards of Business Conduct and demonstrate its core values.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineers who characterize hardware, define methods and technologies for hardware characterization, and perform hardware characterization on complex systems across the product range.
• Manage, develop, plan, and execute process engineering projects across the product range.
• Interact with key customers to resolve complex process engineering issues.
• Develop and implement new technology, products, and analytical instrumentation.
• Train teams and define and implement new methodologies and technologies.
• Troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, and resolve complex process engineering issues.
• Generate internal and external product documentation, presentations, and technical reports for integrated products.
• Generate or validate process engineering specifications for integrated products.
• Contribute to market share gains through technology improvement.
• Guide, influence, and persuade others internally in related areas or externally.
• Comply with Applied Materials’ global Standards of Business Conduct.
